Biography

Dr. J. David Rawn is an expert in organic chemistry and bioinformatics. He recently co-authored Organic Chemistry: Structure, Mechanism, and Synthesis with Robert Ouellette and has written numerous textbooks on chemistry and bioinformatics. For over thirty years, he was a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Towson University in Maryland.  He earned his Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 1971. When he is not researching and writing on bioinformatics and RNA interference, he enjoys reading, creative writing, listening to opera and playing piano.
